National Certified Counselor
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University as well as an MBA from University of Indianapolis. After 16 years in human resources management and providing counsel within “Corporate America,” she decided to focus on her true passion: counseling people in the context of their whole life, not their just career life. With that decision made, she completed her Master's degree in Counseling at NCSU, with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Michelle’s style is an eclectic and flexible one based on each client’s individual needs. As we all look to make meaning in our lives, Michelle’s approach is integrative, oftentimes including components of person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapies. Her particular areas of interest are in individual counseling for anxiety, stress management and depression as well as bereavement, grief support and relationship or couples issues.
Michelle truly believes life is a journey that presents us with many opportunities and challenges along the way. By honoring where each client currently is, her goal is to create a collaborative & supportive environment, where healthy choices, positive coping skills and meaningful insights can be pursued.
