Brian Spillman, Phd - Continued...

Brianís greatest joy in providing therapy is witnessing people begin to develop an attitude of defiance toward their self-limitations, and come to view themselves as competent and personally effective. Assessments and evaluations are done on an infrequent basis for selected issues. Consultation with other professionals is available as they pass through the training process, and encounter writing blocks while completing large writing assignments such as dissertations or theses. Groups offered have included stress management, depression recovery, parenting education, Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programming for chemically dependent persons, and wellness support. Dr. Spillman participates on a variety of insurance panels and provides services on a sliding scale basis as appropriate.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys looking for sea shells at the ocean, learning about craftsman furniture and architecture, hiking, reading, and spending time with his wife and daughters. He joined Lifescapes Counseling Associates in April, 2010 after relocating from Knoxville, TN. Please call for an appointment or to ask for more information.
